Hey, friends!

Life brings both joys and sorrows. This is a time of year for all of us to sing in our own unique ways. Let’s sing the following or perhaps other, more serious songs in accordance with our spiritual or family traditions. Parodies those these are, they do contain a serious message as we celiacs well know.  (eyeroll emoticon)

In the spirit of Christmas, we sing with hope for and belief in peace and good will toward all people.  (day dreaming emoticon) All people: Including the 7% of us Americans whose bodies are gluten sensitive, the other 93%, as well as all people beyond our country’s borders and shores!  (big hug emoticon)

All I Want For Christmas Is What’s Gluten Free
(Parody by Paul T. Jackson on “All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth”)

Everybody stops
And stares at me
My plate of food is
Sparse as you can see
I don’t know just how
To explain villous atrophy!

All I want for Christmas is what’s gluten free,
What’s gluten free
See, I’m gluten free!
Gee, if I could only
Eat as though it’s nothing,
Then I could try your
Christmas turkey stuffing

It seems so long since I could eat
Without a question of expedience
Gosh, oh gee, how happy I’d be
If I knew all of the ingredients

All I want for Christmas is what’s gluten free,
What’s gluten free.
See, I’m gluten free!
Gee, if I could only
Eat as though it’s nothing,
Then I could try your
Christmas turkey stuffing
