I started using grapeseed oil for stir-frying right before I found out what
celiac disease is.   It's tasty and you can really turn up the heat
without it smoking.   I developed an immediate craving for the stuff,
once I started using it.

I buy grapeseed oil at healthfood stores.  If there's a healthfood
store that has gotten to know you, they will order it for you --
especially if you tell them that it is (1) terrific for stir-frying,
(2)THE massage oil, (3) high in pycogenol, (grapeseed's supposedly
the best source for this fad nutrient).

I've discovered that the absolute best way to cook brown rice so that
it is tender is to put 1 tbsp. grapeseed oil in the pot, heat it, add
1 cup rice, stir on med-high heat till some of the kernels have
cracked, add your two cups of water & the salt, lower the heat,
simmer for substantially less time than you're used to.  (Never timed
it, but I'd say half the normal cooking time).

I also sometimes use grapeseed oil for an after-shower oil,
(especially when I've got itchy spots & sores).

Pricier than baby oil, at about $3.75 - 4.50 for 8 oz., but the best
lotion I've found, & cheaper by far than evening primrose.

It can also be found at places that sell "aroma therapy" stuff --
I've cooked with stuff intended for massage, so long as it was 100%
grapeseed oil, food quality, and _not_ scented.

I have no financial interest  in grapeseed oil.
