Dear Listmates -

Isn't garfava flour from garbanzo beans and fava beans?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If it is from fava beans, then people of Mediterranean area descent,
African and Asian descent should be tested for Favism before eating it.
Also, before eating fava bean flour, of course.

Favism means hemolytic anemia (due to an enzyme deficiency) can occur
if anything from fava beans is consumed.  Also from inhaling pollen from
the plants.  It is a genetic disorder.
