We have tried several times to ask about possible relationship between
ulcerative colitis and celiac. As we have changed computers and changed
servers and have had no response, we wonder if our message has been
transmitted. Someone, please, acknowledge if you have received this
inquiry. There are several celiacs in the family, but this one is
diagnosed only with "nonspecific ulcerative colitis" and is presently
taking prednisone which has helped control bleeding/diarrhea/fatigue.
This person is also considering and/or attempting the gluten-free diet,
which Dr. has agreed is worth attempting, sees a GI specialist in a few
weeks.

Latest is, has discontinued Prednisone after 7 day prescription expired,
feels better gluten-free, but doesn't know if it is diet or drugs.
