There is still time to register for Patient Education Day, sponsored by the
Celiac Disease Center at Columbia, to be held November 2nd.  For those of you
not familiar with New York City, the medical center campus is located very
near the George Washington Bridge.  Driving there is easy, as the campus is
just a few blocks from Route 9A (Henry Hudson Parkway). There are several
parking garages available and conveniently located.

Note that the registration deadline has been extended to October 25th, due to
the many inquiries still coming in.

Patient Education Day is a symposium by experts for patients and interested
medical practitioners.

Topics include:  Current Research in CD, Pediatric Celiac Disease, Dermatitis
Herpetiformis, What Grains to Avoid, Oats and How Much Gluten is Gluten-Free,
Pediatric and Adult Neurological Problems in CD, Osteoporosis, and Genetics
of CD.

Speakers include: Peter Green, MD (Columbia University), Don Kasarda, PhD
(U.S. Dept. of Agriculture), Elizabeth Shane, MD (Columbia University),
Norman Latov, MD (Cornell University), Amy R. DeFelice, MD (Columbia
University), Joseph Levy, MD (Columbia University), John Zone, MD (University
of Utah), Carol Semrad, MD (Columbia University), Bruce Roseman, MD (New York
Medical College), Conrad Gilliam, PhD (Columbia University).

The Registration Fee is $50 a person, which includes the academic
presentations, continental breakfast, refreshments, and lunch.  Vendors of
gluten-free food will also be present.

Registration by October 25th is required.
