My GI doc told me yesterday that he thought I needed to be on a feeding tube
(though he may have said stomach tube). Apparently, I'm not equipped to work
9 hours a day, shop, cook and eat gluten free while avoiding all of my other
food sensitivities, and try to manage the infections and fatigue that comes
with a primary immune deficiency.  Nope, I'm not able to do all of this,
so...

I know some of you are on stomach or feeding tubes and am asking those who
are willing, would you mind sharing your experiences with it? I asked my doc
if I could work and he said everything would be under my clothes, so he's
not thinking a nasogastric tube. Do they have GF nutrition for feeding? (I
assume so...) Was the stomach tube inserted in the hospital under anesthetic
or can it be done in the doc's office? I have a call into my doc's nurse,
but before I make a decision, I'd like to know what to expect - and call my
insurance to find out how much they won't pay.
