The Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association has been selected
as a Semi-Finalist in the "Show Us your Goodness" contest at RiceWorks!
Located right here in Vancouver, BC, Canada, RiceWorks makes the nutritious
brown rice chips that are gluten free and come in such fun gluten free
flavours! The RiceWorks chips kept me going while I volunteered during the
Olympics and I was very thankful for that and during that time we at the
Vancouver Chapter worked hard to get past stage 1 of the Show us your
Goodness Contest and to move onto Stage 2 - however we need your HELP in
Stage 2 to get us in the running for the WONDERFUL award which will award us
the opportunity to spread AWARENESS about Celiac Disease and the importance
of getting DIAGNOSED by winning the Grand Prize of $20,000 Can!

So browse on over to the following webpage
http://www.showusyourgoodness.com/vote.php, scroll down to Canadian Celiac
Association - Vancouver Chapter (#8) and then select VOTE! Fill in your
First and Last Names and e-mail address and ensure that the Vancouver
Chapter is still selected and SUBMIT the form!
http://www.showusyourgoodness.com/vote.php

Then the decision is up to the 6 people on the independant judging panel and
the results will be announced May 5th - just in time for the start of May
Celiac Awareness Month which will be a great start to the month -
celebrating this wonderful gift of money!

I was diagnosed 27 years with Celiac Disease and this is the first time that
I have seen a North American company come out with such a contest that has a
gluten free product that supports people with Celiac Disease yet it is
inclusive allowing charities from diverse areas to participate and shout out
about their cause! All 33 Semi Finalists are deserving of the prizes
however most of the charities are known and Celiac Disease is just getting
mainstream awareness in National Media which is the other reason I think
that all Celiac chapters, associations and community groups should band
together and help us, the only Celiac charity nominated to the semi final
level to try and achieve success on behalf of all Celiacs we represent in
North America! http://www.showusyourgoodness.com/vote.php

LET'S GO VOTE! One vote per person - your whole family, extended family,
aunts, uncles, kids, friends, acquaintances, FaceBook friends, twitter
contacts and all your high school and university friends can help you out
and can all vote too - SPREAD THE WORD! You can vote once per e-mail
address. It would be awesome to receive the funds to reach out to
undiagnosed Celiacs and get them diagnosed properly and start a trend where
doctors will start to know how to recognize a person with CD when they first
arrive in their office!

Thanks from the bottom of my heart and my co-volunteers on the Board of
Directors of the Vancouver Chapter! Just so you know, the contest closes
April 30th and as mentioned, the results are announced May 5th so keep your
eyes posted to this listserve - no matter how we do, we will celebrate our
success in getting closer to mainstream media with a company that whole
heartedly supports people with Celiac Disease and who came up with this
brilliant contest!
