Hi listmates

I had the test which is so easy.  I had nothing to eat or drink after
midnight the night before  except because I am always constipated I had to take a
Ducolax.  The day of I was told not to use any lotion or cream after showering.
My appt. was at 9:30am .  The Doctor attached many leads to my stomach and
chest.  These were then attached to a very wide belt which rested above  my
waist,  On one side of my waist was the camera and on the other was the battery
pack.  Suspenders were  then attached to the belt to hold all this in place.
This was under my shirt  but you could still see I was wearing a contraption.  My
next step was to have a sip of water and swallow the pill.  Since I have
trouble swallowing my calcium pills I was not looking forward to swallowing this
one.  But since It is plastic coated It went down without any difficulty.  Now
why can't those big calcium pills be plastic coated?  Oh I had to finish my
glass of water and that was it.  Dr. said to go about my normal day working,
shopping etc but no exercising which was fine with me.  Well I stopped at the
mall but I felt I looked very strange even though I had put a vest on over my
shirt  so I went home.  I visualized myself looking just like someone with a bomb
attached like you see in the movies or on the news.  Now the day was a very
hot and humid one, the pack was getting warm and is a little heavy and I was
getting hot flashes so I was much better off at home in the air conditioning.  I
was able to have water or sprite and my vitamins two hours after taking the
capsule and four hours later I was  to have a light lunch and could continue to
have water for the rest of the day.  I then returned to the office at 5:30pm
to have all this removed.  The pill is then expelled in 24 to 48 hours and it
is not necessary to look for it.  Well I just wanted to know that it was out
of my system and so I watched for it and it came out 3 days later.  By then it
was not flashing anymore.  My only concern was knowing that  it was out.  The
Dr. said that if I wanted to I could have an x-ray done  to make sure I had
pased it.  I guess most people are not worried about it.

I spoke with the nurse today and she said the results looked fine and it was
faxed to my regular gastro Dr.   So I called him and am waiting for a return
call.  Don't know when that willl come.

So that's my story.  I hope it helps those who are thinking about having this
