I too agree with Beth that we need clear labeling for GF foods. In a brief exchange with her, I also found out that apparently Australia has 2 labels, Low GF that allows low amounts like up to 20ppm, and Gluten Free with is truly 100% gluten free without any cross contamination. Wow! We should have that here in the US. I can't get over allowing 'some' gluten in a "Gluten Free" product meant for people who will get sick eating gluten!!! I know certification and labeling etc. can be expensive for companies, but at some point the end consumer of food products needs to be considered, and by that I mean that if it costs a little more for my family to safely eat labeled 'GF' foods, then I am willing to pay a bit more to the company that is going out of its way to provide a safe food product. I am NOT willing any more to take chances with GF labeled foods with cross contamination issues or sloppy raw ingredient suppliers. My family has been paying the price again, and again, and again lately and we are flat sick of it! GF labeled foods have consistently gotten my family sick every single month now since January---I know this isn't good for us. But its terrible for the manufacturer because we will not longer give them any business, and I am vocal about the brands that do have issues.

Katie
