To all on list who have bone density tests -

I am 34 years old and had a bone density scan in September that shows I am
osteopenic. I had the test because my DR thought he saw some bone thinning
in an Xray, and I'm a long-term steriod user due to asthma, and I'm a
celiac, and my mother has severe osteoporosis. Now my insurance company is
saying it isn't a medically necessary test and won't cover it. Since I
just saw Nicki's posting, I was wondering if anyone else has had this
experience? If so, please let me know if anyone was successful in getting
this covered and how they went about doing it - maybe a CC of anything sent
to Nicki would help. Thanks in advance -
