Celiacs with lactose intolerance who cannot tolerate yogurt might want to
try "greek style" yogurt. It's made with the additional step of straining
through cheesecloth, straining away much of the whey, and with it, the
lactose. I tried Trader Joe's greek yogurt- my local supermarket didn't have
any of this type - and ate a 4 oz serving without any trouble. I've been
lactose intolerant for 3 years (celiac for 4) and this is the first yogurt
(including my own home-made) that I had no reaction to. Happy Days!! Mary
B.
