In our local paper there is a section for locals to submit their favorite
recipe --if your recipe is chosen it will be printed in the food section of
the paper with a picture and an article of about 300 words-- this column
runs once a week on Wednesday.
I submitted a recipe--GF , of course--a pie crust made of crushed pecans,
and it was selected to be published. I then took a picture over to the
paper and some info on Celiac and Mike, the reporter, was so facinated with
celiac he is going to run an expanded piece in September--with color
pictures..Since my pie crust is rather dull looking--I suggeted that a
recipe(with permission) be included for the picture--given to me by a
fellow listserv member and she agreed.
This is certainly a boost for Celiac awareness--If any of your newspapers
has such as this maybe you can try and get something in the paper about
celiac--every little bit helps.
Sincerely,
Aileen
