Hello List Mates:
The other night I had the most pleasant surprise to discover that a local restaurant in Merrick is gluten free friendly. It is The Cozy Clam on 1960 Bayberry Avenue, Merrick NY. The owner, Tom, said his son is Celiac and he keeps a supply of gluten free pasta in the pantry. At least one of the soups is gluten free and many of the entrees can be adapted. I had the Manhattan Clam Chowder, salad and Seafood Fra Diavlo with spaghetti. This was wonderful as we live in the area. My husband and I had a very enjoyable meal and look forward to returning. Please go and try it out. Ask for Tom and he'll come to the table but our waitress was quite knowledgeable.

I have no financial interest in this establishment.
