Hi -

I spotted an ad for Illiano's PIzza in Middletown CT; "Gluten Free Pizza available". Of course I raced right on down there, and it's true!
The pizza is really good, definitely gluten free. Unfortunately, it's not mentioned anywhere on the menu or website. Hmmm. So, you have to hear about it here.
There are two restaurants in Middletown, on Washington Street (rte 66) and on South Main St. The Washington Street location is in the old Bess Eaton Donuts next to Palmer Field, just west of the railroad trestle. Easy walk from Wesleyan. The South Main Street location, I have been told, is down by where Bradlee's was, oh so many years ago. Sorry, I haven't been there yet. Whether or not the other restaurants (Colchester, New Londdon, etc) will have GF pizza.... I was given the impression by the college kids (VERY knowledgeable, very pleasant) that the other restaurants don't, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will stay that way.

Visit the website www.illianospizza.com for phone numbers and other CT locations.

Kathy
