I am interested in knowing more about listmates' experience with the
supplement l-glutamine for intestinal repair. A previous post questioned
whether it is a g-f product, and asked what brand of l-glutamine we are
taking and whether it is helping.

I take Solgar l-glut in Vegicaps (I'm vegan). The label clearly states it is
free of wheat (the other post discussed wheat as a possible ingredient), as
well as corn, yeast, soy, and dairy. It does not state that the product is
g-f, but wheat seems to be the issue.

I have been taking it haphazardly over the past few months, but I intend to
do better, especially if listmates report definite positive results. I
started taking it more regularly in the past week or so, and I have been
experiencing diarrhea, but that could be attributed to something else. I'm
just not sure. If anyone feels l-glut is helping them, I'd like to know how
much they are taking, and for how long they were taking it before they
experienced a benefit. Also, has anyone experienced a negative result that
they're pretty sure was due to l-glut?

Thanks!
