I wrote: I have recently been eating the Soy Dessert, (like ice cream).
Also the pretzels that are made with soya and cornstarch. It seems that
I cannot tolerate this. I have cramps with in hours and also gas. Has
anyone else experienced this?

First I want to thank all who responded. I received about 25 responses.
Most said that most cannot tolerate soy and it's by-products.
One also included that Lactaid 100 is not GF.

Some try it every three or four months to see if they react. One wondered
if there was cross contamination.

Soy based vitamin E gives some problems.

Some as I did get the same symptoms as if they have ingested gluten

A Chinese doctor tells his patients to avoid soy. He doesn't think that
it is not as great a food that it is supposed to be.

One wrote that she felt nauseous whenever she ate soy products.

One said that eating a lot of soy may cause a development of an allergy
to it.

Some brow rice syrup's contain barley. Soy dessert has brown rice syrup.

I have come to the conclusion that Soy products are not for me and will
eliminate them from my diet. It is better to feel well and healthy than
to not.

I hope this helps.

Virginia
