I convinced a few of my friends with symptoms to participate in one of the U
of Maryland celiac blood testing events. A friend with manic-depression and
asthma tested as a possible celiac. The U of MD suggested that she keep
eating gluten and be retested in 6 months. She doesn't care so much about
being officially branded a celiac as finding something to help with her
health problems. She went on the diet a few weeks ago and the asthma seems
to be improving. I have read quite a bit about the relationship of
depression to cd. Is anyone out there a celiac with manic-depression before
or after the diagnosis of cd?
