We returned Sunday from the French Broad Outpost Ranch in Del Rio, Tennessee. Our party of seven, including three children between 8 and 12 and and four adults (two celiacs), totally enjoyed the ranch experience. The facilities were clean and very adequate. The riding, tubing, whitewater rafting, and evening entertainment kept us all exhausted. The Arabian horses were loved by all. The atmosphere during this particular week was very family oriented.

I spoke with the chef prior to our arrival. We discussed the menu day by day. I offered to bring supplemental foods (GF breads, GF tortillas, GF cereal, etc.). With a few obvious exceptions (most desserts and their breads and rolls) the daily menu was adjusted to keep my adult son and myself happy with the daily fare. This was a great outdoor experience for the grandparents, the parents and the grandchildren.
