I was wondering if any of you with celiac have had experience with pre-
eclampsia and HELLP in a pregnancy before being diagnosed and then
having a following pregnancy following a gluten-free diet and if you
noticed a difference, and if you still developed pre-eclampsia/HELLP
in subsequent pregnancies?

With my daughter, I developed severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP, but
thankfully...we both came out of it OK. I was diagnosed with celiac
when she was 3. Since then I have been debating having another, but
am honestly terrified to go through that again and risk my daughter
loosing her mom. I spoke to someone today who told me his wife has a
smiliar situation and now that she is gluten-free, she is 8 months
pregnant and it has been a much easier pregnancy.

I am interested in hearing of situations that go either way. I will
summarize the responses.

Thanks!

anne
