I asked Wednesday morning for recommendations for a GF all purpose flour
because I was under the impression that the one I had been using (Mr.
Ritt's) was no longer available because his shop was closed and he was no
longer making visits to my local support group (which had been how I had
been obtaining the flour for the past however many years). Several asked
for a summary and I've already had over 2 dozen responses, so here goes....

First, I found out that my principle statement was flawed. I can also still
obtain the flour from several regional distributers and there is a
restaurant in that Grandma's Grotto was one of them. I have been there
before have looking for an excuse to get back. I may have just found it.
The distributers are shown on his website at www.mrritts.com Some of them
will even ship. Also, someone pointed out that it can be shipped through
Amazon.

Other suggestions were:

7 votes for Jules flour JulesGlutenFree.com
<http://www.julesglutenfree.com/>
4 votes for Pamela's available at Amazon.com
2 votes for King Arthur
2 votes for Better Batter available at Whole Foods and www.betterbatter.com
2 votes for Bob's Red Mill available at Wegman's (and other places, because
I think I've seen that in my grocery store, too)
Domata Living Flour available (among other places) in HY-VEE, specifically
mentioned as a cup for cup substitution for wheat flour
Authentic Foods Multi Blend
Gluten Free Pantry all purpose flour available online and at Whole Foods
Kinnikinnick Celiac Flour (recommended by someone who also mentions Jules
and said it works just as well)
Pocono Buckwheat Flour <http://www.thebirkettmills.com/>
www.thebirkettmills.com
Tom Sawyer
Glutino All Purpose baking mix
Bella Gluten Free Flour available through www.thedr.com
One person combines Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Flour and Bob's Red Mill
Sorghum on the fly as they bake (2 cups regular flour would be turned into 1
c. all purpose and 1 c. sorghum plus 2 tsp. of xanthum gum)

Thank you to everyone for giving me lots of ideas and I hope the summary is
helpful to others!
