Before I went GF, my anti-thyroid antibodies were off the charts, yet my TSH
was always normal. Then after I had my first son I went very hyperthyroid,
and soon after very hypothyroid. I was placed in Levoxyl 3 years ago. I went
GF about 1 ½ years ago, and it seems that either my thyroid is healing, or
I’m better able to absorb my medication. I went from 88 mcg down to 44 mcg,
and recently down to about 22mcg a day (I take half of an 88 every other
day). My TSH was 0.7 last month and I’m considering talking to my endo and
seeing if I can go off the meds and get tested in a month or two, to see
where I am on my own. I felt like I’m on the hyper side these days (trouble
sleeping, etc.) and wonder if I even need thyroid supplementation anymore.
The only thing I am worried about is that I just had another baby 3 months
ago and my body is probably “off”.

Have any of you experienced a reversal like this? I think my endo is really
surprised!
