Is there a standard set of such "extra" procedures, including the
pancreatic one mentioned above, that's done in the biopsy?

Is one of the reasons for insisting on the biopsy in adults also to be sure
that  malignancy hasn't already developed from a gliadin induced lesion?

Frankly I'm glad I had the biopsy. I've just had  an anti-body panel done
15 months later to verify gluten exclusion because I don't seem to react
overtly very strongly to gluten. I presume the biopsy results will help in
interpreting that test if abnormal.
