Hi Listmates.
Thank you for the quick responses and all of the information about
taking calcium. I think there were about 50 responses. Yes the village
that I live in is for real. It is 15 miles West of Mt. Hood on rt.
26.When they rescue people off of Mt. Hood they always fly over our
house on their way to a hospital in Portland, OR.
Now for the summarization.
I will list the names and brands that were sent to me. They all were
professed to be GF. Calcium carbonate seems to be very hard on the
stomach. Calcium citrate is easier on the stomachI do fine with Caltrate
+ DI take Calcium Citrate and the brand is Soloray. One person takes
Nature Made calcium which does not upset her stomach and is gluten-free.
Another person uses Viactive flavored Calcium Chews which are tasty and
gluten-free.

Others that are used are Twin labs Triboron plus, Andrew lessmans bone
support, Caltrate with Vit. D, Nature made calcium, Calcium citrate by
soloray Calcium citrate is easier on the stomach than calcium carbonate.
Posture D calcium supplement. One person wrote that she buys hers at
Costco.Another person says that she buys Equate cal. with 600mg and
200mg of Vit. D. Wonder labs carries MSM 1000mg. but is not considered
calcium.

Pioneer Brands has Citrical+Vit. D, One person is taking calcium shots.

Freeda vitamins.com has a calcium that does not contain anything thing
else but calcium in the capsule. It and Ezorb which offers the same
thing, guarantees no upset stomach.

Try www.freedavitamins.com and www.ezorb.com both people that use them
swore by them.

Ron Hogan sent a newsletter that he wrote that was very interesting.

I was also questioned as to what brand of calcium that I took. Actually
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis by the VA. hospital. They gave me a
hand full of calcium bottles with no information about the manufacture.
I was never able to get a response out of them about who made them or
what was in them.
