It seems that Mono & Diglycerides are bad for us.  Maybe everyone not
just Celiacs.  Also partially hydrogenated vegetable oil.  This seems to
be the process that makes the shortening a solid rather than a liquid.
Seems the hydrogenated stuff can cause heart problems and cancer.  Does
this mean that we shouldn't use any solid vegetable shortening or
margarine?  What about real butter?  Wish some one with real knowledge
would post to the list.  Someone like Beatrice for instance, she seems
to know about the stuff.
