More information on risks of contamination of produce. (these results were posted with permission of Gluten Free Watchdog (www.glutenfreewatchdog.org).

1) Gluten Free Watchdog tested two brands of dried strawberries and both tested below 5 ppm gluten.

2) Gluten Free Watchdog tested two varieties of mushrooms--one canned and one dried. Both tested below 5 ppm gluten.

3) Regarding beans and lentils, try to purchase varieties labeled gluten-free. If they are not labeled gluten free, rinse them well under cold running water. Industry standards say that beans/lentils may contain a small amount of foreign material (including grains), so go ahead and rinse.

4) Regarding soy, it's important to purchase soy flour that's labeled gluten-free (as we should with ALL grain products, even those that appear "naturally gluten free.")
