Dear Listmates:

We received the following request from a lady in North Carolina. Can you offer any recommendations of doctors to diagnose celiac disease for her husband?

Thank you.

My husband believes he may have Celiac disease. He started with a rash that itched unbearably on his arms and upper body last May or June. He also developed extreme fatigue. After looking many places on the internet, he thought he had Celiac disease. Let me say now, so far he has declined to go to a doctor. He has only been once to a doctor in our married lives and we have been married nearly 40 years. I have tried to persuade him.
we have switched to a gluten free diet and the rash has gone away. However, he still has the fatigue and it seems to be getting worse. I am still trying to get him to a doctor. If I could find a specialist perhaps he would consent to go and see them.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
