I received about a million replies that Dinty Moore is GF.  Thanks ever
so much.  I've included several of the replies that have the most helpful
information as well as good ideas.

DINTY MOORE beef stew is gluten free.  You can buy the big can, or the
little "lunch buckets" that you can microwave (or eat cold if you are
traveling or caught in an earthquake and desperate) It's from Hormel.
The Hormel peperoni is GF also.  It's a great company to call and ask

Bette Hagman has a recipe for a DELICIOUS beef stew.  Ironically, I just
made it for the first time ever last night.  My fiance said it was the
best beef stew he had ever had.  [I have not recopied her recipe here as
I assume it's copycopyrighted & can be found in her books.]
