Hello!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the University of Chicago Celiac
Disease Program and Prometheus Laboratories is offering a free tTG blood
screening for people at risk for celiac disease. Any at-risk person who is
willing to drive to the University of Chicago campus, who is NOT on the
gluten free diet can participate.

At-risk individuals are people with an immediate family member who has
celiac disease (1st or 2nd degree), individuals with an autoimmune
disorder, GI symptoms or extraintestinal symptoms related to celiac disease
(iron deficient anemia, for example). If you have a question about whether
or not you or a family member can participate, please e-mail me.

The screening will be held November 9, 2002 from 8:30am - 12:30 pm. Please
e-mail me if you'd like to participate (registration is necessary), with
the following information:

Name
Address
City, State, Zip

Number of children participating
Number of adults participating

You will receive a packet of information by mail that will provide the
schedule, directions, etc.

We are proud to receive the generous support of Prometheus Laboratories in
helping to make this screening possible. The University of Chicago Celiac
Disease Program offers a celiac screening each year in support of its
mission to raise diagnosis rates. The screening is part of ongoing research
at the University on at-risk populations.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions!
