Hello all you GF travelers out there,
I'll be spending 10 days in Japan later this month - - I'm armed with a
Japanese GF meal card and a partner who speaks fluent Japanese. But it is
my first trip to Japan, and I'm already wondering what I will be able to eat
other than sushi. I plan to take my own soy sauce; and am looking for
suggestions on the type of restaurants that may actually have GF options.
Any suggestions? I'm also wondering if the miso is *ever* GF in Japan
(probably not) and whether soba noodles are ever GF (probably not).
We will be in Tokyo 6 days; and will be traveling up in the mountains for 4
days.
I'll post my summary, and my own success and disaster stories after I return
in mid-July. Any ideas are welcome.
thanks,
Laurie in Seattle
