HEre is a summary of responses to my question about allergies to
digestive enzymes:

Many folks had the same problem. HEre are the recommendations:

Kirkman's Labs at www.kirkmanlabs.com offer a hypoallergenic digestive
enzyme

NOW's Plant Enzymes

Nature's Plus Chewable Bromelain

Pancreas Pills (generic = Lipram)

Shaklee Optiflora capsules and powder

And two folks wrote about how most plant dig. enzymes are grown from the
mold aspergillus that makes them very sick (type O blood folks esp.),
and that I should always ask the manufacturer. Creon and Pancrease are
two that are not grown on aspergillus.

This was helpful, becuase I couldn't figure out why I was having such an
extreme and candida-like reaction to plant enzymes...

Carolyn
