I know there was some discussion in the past regarding the gluten free
status of crayons.  I cam across an add today about crayons made from
soybeans.  I do not know if they are GF and I have not contacted the
manufacturer about this either (I have no kids with CD and am not planning
on eating crayons in the near future), however, for those of you who are
