Hi All--

I seem to recall a year or more ago, this subject came up on the list, but I can't find it in the archives - I'm sure I'm not using the proper key words. So...can anyone tell me if charcoal used for grilling is GF? If only certain brands are GF, I would appreciate any information anyone can share on the subject. Also, what about the brickets used in gas grills? Are they GF? I'm under the impression that they're made of a stone substance...?

About once a month, my brother and sister-in-law invite me over for a cookout. I try to clean the grates, but inevitably, I get a gluten reaction. My family tries so hard not to poison me that I don't want to forego the family get-togethers and hurt their feelings. If there's something I can do to remedy the problem (buy different charcoal), I'm glad to do it.

Thanks. I'll summarize.

Cheers,
Ayn in Alabama
