"Writing the Emigrant Wilderness" is a 1 week backpacking trip in the
beautiful Emigrant Wilderness of the Sierra, about halfway between Yosemite
and Tahoe.  The trip welcomes all levels of backpackers and, for those who
choose to participate, offers a writing element as well.  The leader was
diagnosed with celiac in 2003, which prompted her to become a volunteer
leader so that she, and others like her, could continue to enjoy the
backcountry for more than a few days at a time.
