still possible to register for this fun filled event. We also hope
to offer celiac disease blood screenings. See the description below
for information on the race.

Got Guts 5k Trail Run, Walk and Gluten Free Food Fair

This is a 5K event to raise awareness of Celiac Disease and gluten
intolerance. The course is a scenic, tree-lined romp through the
outskirts of Walter E. Long Park. The majority of the course is on a
grass trail so you won't be pounding your shins on pavement. If
you've participated in the Danskin triathlon you will recognize this route.

For those following a gluten free diet our goal is to provide gluten
free race refreshments and post-race food fair. The food fair will
include a robust selection of gluten free cookies, nutrition bars,
fresh fruit and breakfast tacos from Maudies! See the web site for a
list of food fair participants.

At the finish line runners and walkers can also enjoy a free massage,
courtesy of Advanced Rehabilitation.

Proceeds from this event benefit the local support group, Alamo
Celiac, GIG (www.alamoceliac.org ) and the national support group,
Gluten Intolerance Group of North America (www.gluten.net).
