Hello. I'm wondering whether anyone is aware of any connection between gum
disease and being celiac. The reason I ask is that as gum disease
progresses there is bone loss in the bones that hold the teeth. I'm
wondering whether being celiac may have any impact of the severity of the
bone loss. If so, should celiacs be treated any differently by a
periodontist?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I will summarize responses to the list.

Thanks,
catherine
