Hi, sorry it's taken so long to summarize.  Thanks to all those who
responded.  I have saved  your replies and will show them to the doctor.

33  people said that they had canker sores and gas related to CD
2  said their Igg was borderline, negative biopsy but went GF anyhow and
      improved.
3  IgG positive and biopsy negative
2  said that IgG is not specific to celiac
7  said that they had only IgG positive and biopsy was positive

many said to go for further testing, biopsy or get the stool test.
