Hi all! I just wanted to give everyone a little bit more information on
the team.

Team GlutenFree will participate in the Phoenix Marathon on January 9.
Everyone has heard of Team In Training who has raised millions upon
millions for luekemia and lymphoma and I want everyone to know Team
GlutenFree as well. My goal is to participate in a minimum of 2 marathons
a year.

The next marathon coming up is the San Diego Rock N Roll event on June 5,
2005. This is an existing marathon that we participate in as a team. We
raise money for the Celiac Disease Foundation, Center for Celiac Disease
Research, Stanford and Celiac Camp scholarships.

These events are in no way related to the Celiac Walks. I understand
these walks mainly occur in May to coincide with CD Awareness Month, but
the marathon is a different animial - it's 26.2 miles. Most marathon
runners/walkers will participate in a 5K event, but not all 5K
participants would join a marathon team.

Perhaps next year we will look at doing the Honolulu Marathon in
November. I like to choose marathons that are highly attended, lots of
fun and are in great destinations - San Diego is the next marathon on our
stop.

Please email me at [log in to unmask] to find out how to become part
of this successful and FUN team! Please understand this event is in no
way in competition of your walks, which I also participate in.

Thanks!
Carrie Owen
Team GlutenFree
