I saw my neurologist yesterday and he prescribed me Lyrica and Nortriptylene
for chroninc headaches. I found Lyrica on a GF meds listing, but can't find
Nortriptylene anywhere.

Anyone know if Nortriptylene is GF?


Also--has anyone been on either of these? Did you have any significant side
effects? I know for Nortriptylene it lists weight gain as a side effect and
my GP has told me I absolutely cannot gain any more weight after having
surgery this summer. I'm doing well with weight control/loss right now,
between diet and going to the gym. But I've been on similar meds before and
it was disheartening even then to do everything I could to maintain my
weight only to see the scale continue rising for a bit. Now its even more of
a problem. 

If it isn't GF, or if I start experiencing weight gain in the first few
weeks, I guess I'll have to give my neurologist a call and see if he can
switch it, or if I can try without (I'm also getting non-medication
treatment for it).
