Hi...

I'm looking for any published research articles or data regarding celiac
symptoms and negative screening tests. When the anti-gliaddin antibody test comes
back negative, does that positively rule out celiac? I know it is almost
100% predictive when it is positive, but what is the incidence of false
negatives, especially in children and older adults? Are there any numbers about people
who have negative tests but who lose their celiac symptoms on a gluten free
diet?

I'm looking for published research or data. Anecdotes won't help me. I know
2 people who have had negative tests but have multiple symptoms of celiac,
their symptoms have been ruled out as celiac as well as other illnesses as any
other illness, but who also refuse to try a gluten fre diet.

Thank you,
Andrea
