Hi all,
There is a lot of discussion, if oats is good or bad for us celiacs. I am on
GF strict diet over three years and become so sensitive on it, that when I
see bread or cookies, my stomach turning upside down, just by look. But my
reward is a healthy productive life as never before. So I want to find out,
if oats will harm me, when I make Oatmeal breakfast. So I bought on a farm
market 5 lbs of oats, then as a Cinderella I separate each grain of oats
from others (barley, wheat and I found alsosome rye in it), Ten I washed it
truly. After couple days drying on a sun I grinded it on my little stone
mill and yesterday morning I had an oatmeal breakfast after 3 years. It was
good and tonight after 36 hours no bad reaction at all. If would be only one
miligram gluten in it I would get very sick.

Conclusion? Oatmeal Is good for us "celiacs", but the contamination is
unavoidable, unless you have to work like a Cinderela.

Have nice Sunday!
