Recently I ended up at the emergency room of my local hospital and my
Doctor offered to approve an overnight stay if I wanted. I said no, no,
no. I would not trust the food for one minute.

As part of the October Celiac awareness program, I wrote to every
hospital and HMO within a 50 mile radius (over 30) directing to the
dietitian or diatary department. I explained what Celiac was and the
concerns we all have at being admitted to a hospital and receiving
gluten when we are already sick with something else. I offered to
supply them with sample diets and locations to purchase such food. It
is now December and I did not hear back from any of them! Really
instills me with great confidence.
