I reported that many people had contacted me about their reacting to other people's makeup, but one lady reminded me about reacting to colognes and after-shaves.  Of course, the alcohol wouldn't be gf.  In this instance perhaps a letter to the manufacturer would be helpful. 
just a thought...perhaps the people who react to those scented inserts in magazines are really reacting to the gluten therein.  hmmmmmmmm
