I have been working on getting a diagnosis of what is ailing my digestive
system for some time. My Mom has been biopsy diagnosed with Celiac and I
have a lot of symptoms. I recently went to a gastro doc and he doesn't feel
I have Celiac. At first I thought, "Hey, Great". Here is what he said:

Based on my blood test, he doesn't think I have Celiac because the
antibodies IGA weren't elevated, just the IGG. I have been on a gf diet for
over two months and got better within days of going on the diet. I told him
my Mom was Celiac. He also doesn't think she really has CD. Mom had
stomach problems for years. She was constipated all the time and lost a lot
of weight. She has other health problems that could have contributed to the
weight loss. Her gastro specialist did a biopsy and only found one tiny pin
head spot that showed damage to the villi. My doctor said that she couldn't
be Celiac because you always have diarrhea and there would be complete
flattening of the villi. He said he would do a endoscopy the first part of
July to prove that I don't have Celiac. I'm supposed to go back on gluten.
He also said he had "no idea" why I got better on the gf diet.

The fact that my Mom's doctor feels she has CD and this doctor doesn't think
so is confusing. I said I'd do the biopsy, but I'm not sure what to think
about this. I should have went to my Mom's doctor.

I had nausea daily, cramps and gas, severe back pain, fatigue, burning spots
like a sunburn on my skin when nothing is there and strange rashes. Since
going gf I haven't had any nausea, cramps and gas, and my back pain has
improved immensely. I am sleeping better and am not as tired.

Does anyone know of any online doctor's reports from highly credentialed
doctor that would disagree with this? My initial feeling of relief didn't
last long.
