Subject: Milloet & Flaxseed bread Update-very impoetant

Thursday there was a posting about a great millet & flaxseed bread by Sami's Bakery. I was very excited and logged on to their website.A toll free 877 number was listed so I called them. During the conversation, I asked if the millet flaxseed bread was baked in a gluten free facility. He said they didn't put gluten in any of their bread. Then he asked what gluten was. That put up a red flag to me. I explained that people who celiac/also known as gluten intolerant, cannot have wheat, rye, oats or barley. Then I asked him if they bake other products in the bakery that contain these grains. To my keen disappointment, he said,"Yes we do."
Apparently the person posting this message was not a list/serv member in February, 2004. We had a similar situation with Deland Bakery in Deland, Florida. Please go to the archives and look up a posting on February 18 by Mike Jones. Some people could eat it with no problems. Others could not eat it without being very sick. I enjoyed the bread very much but didn't realize the unexplainable reactions I would sometimes have, were due to Deland Bakery millet bread products. I haven't had Deland Bakery products since reading that posting and my unexplainable reactions are very rare.
If you can't find the posting from February 18, 2004, I have it in my e-mail folder. Send me you request & I will forward it to you.
Best Regards,

Gladys Ward
