I understand I need to have a separate toaster to prevent contamination with
the crumbs.

Would it be okay to start with a new 4 slice toaster and have a GF side for
myself, and the other side for others, as the two sides are separated by a
solid wall inside the toaster.

I have only been diagnosed a month now, and using my old toaster has not
produced any ill side effects.
