i think the jury is mostly in at this point so will summarize. thanks to
all who posted me. i hope i thanked you each individually - if not, my
apologies!

the possibilities mentioned are listed below. luksusowa, smirnoff, and
chopin were the most frequently mentioned. there is also a gin that was
indicated as gf. two people also noted the controversy regarding the
effectiveness of the distillation process. (now i have to look into that
topic so i can make up my own mind!)
