Thanks for the responses, here are the replies I received:

I've used it on occasion and it seems to help with the gas.

Alka Seltzer Gold also has potassium, I think. I've had 3 allergists say it
helps stop histamine reactions. I know it helps me in many cases of food
allergies. I use regular Alka Seltzer  if I have any pain (aspirin).
Sometimes one works better than the other. I can tell now which one I need
after using them so long. It sure wouldn't hurt to try.

I have multiple food sensitivities, & when I slip.  I use the Alka
Seltzer Gold.  I don't know why, but for some reason it makes me feel
great.  Perhaps it's the poatassium?  My GI doc says the active
ingredient is simply baking soda.  Go figure.
