I'm very recently diagnosed with celiac disease - the Monday of
Thanksgiving week to be exact. We have baked our own breads for many
years. My gastrenterologist told me to get all the flours out of the
house; I thought my husband could bake bread for himself and it would be
OK as long as I wasn't involved in handling the dough or nearby when it
was being mixed. I would be interested in opinions and advice.

A friend's son-in-law has CD and we are told he takes aspirin if he eats
somewhere he thinks he might get some gluten in his food. This doesn't
sound right to me and I'm not about to do it but I wondered if anyone has
heard of this?

Thanks for any comments or advice. I hope I haven't broken any rules
regarding posting to the list; this is my first post.
