I don't think the theory of celiac being acquired secondary to antibiotic 
overuse would explain my son's situation.  While he was just biopsy diagnosed 
about 4 weeks ago, in retrospect his symptoms began at age 3 (just after he 
weaned).  He just turned 7.  Despite quite a few ear infections, we never 
accepted the offer for antibiotics; he had his first and only antibiotics when 
very ill about 1 year ago.
