I just wanted to let the group know about GF airline travel, Belfast,
Reading and Guildford.

I just returned from an 11-day business trip, and here is a quick report:

- GF meals are available on Aer Lingus and United. Aer Lingus provides a GF
snack while United does not, but both have GF dinners internationally.

- No trouble finding GF bread and snacks at Tesco in Belfast
- Restaurants were fully accommodating, and an Asian-fusan restaurant (Zen2)
had a GF menu mage
- GF beer is not widely available (but then again I'm not a beer drinker)

- Waitrose in Goldaming (south of Guildford by 3 miles) had a full selection
of GF foods as did Tesco in Guildford. Waitrose has GF beer - Greens.
- The pubs we went to were fully accommmodating, and I had no problem with
the food in the Guildford area. I didn't see GF beer offered.

- Restaurants in Reading were fully accommodating.

In all, it was an easy trip from the standpoint of eating. Still, the GF
trail mix and energy bars were really useful. The ride from Heathrow to Los
Angeles is long, and it is pretty nice to had a snack (and share with your
seat mate).
